What this service is
Market Vidyalaya is a free educational website about the Indian stock market. It provides lessons, calculators, reference material and tools that display public market data. It is not a broker, an exchange, an adviser or a financial services provider, and it does not execute transactions of any kind.
Not advice
Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is personalised to your circumstances. This is set out more fully in the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms. Decisions you make with your money are yours.
Permitted use
- Read, learn, share links. Use the material for your own learning, and link to it freely.
- Quote with attribution. Short extracts are welcome where Market Vidyalaya is credited and the specific lesson is linked.
- Teach with it. Using lessons in a classroom or study group is fine, provided attribution is kept.
- Not permitted: republishing the curriculum wholesale, selling it, presenting it as your own work, or scraping the site in a way that degrades it for others.
Accuracy
The content is written carefully and checked against primary sources, and it may still contain errors. Tax rates, regulations, scheme rules and market structure change over time, and a lesson accurate when written may not remain so. Verify anything with a material consequence before acting on it. Corrections are genuinely welcome — report one here, with the lesson URL and the sentence in question.

Live prices and fundamentals come from public third-party endpoints. They may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect, and availability is not guaranteed. The data is provided for learning and must not be used to place orders or make time-sensitive decisions.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime. Features may change or be removed, and pages may move. Anything depending on an external data source can stop working without notice.
