How to use this calculator

Each step names a control you will find on screen above.

  1. Previous high, low and close

The three numbers the whole formula needs. Use the previous session’s figures for the instrument you intend to trade today.

  2. Method

Standard derives the levels from the day’s range; Fibonacci spaces them by 38.2%, 61.8% and 100% of it. Both share the same central pivot.

  3. Read the pivot first

The pivot (P) is the day’s fulcrum. Price holding above it leans bullish, below it bearish. R1–R3 and S1–S3 are where reactions are likely.

  4. Check the CPR width

A narrow Central Pivot Range signals a coiled market and a higher chance of a trending day; a wide CPR points to a rangebound one.

Worked example: Reading a session from the levels

Enter a previous high of ₹24,380, low of ₹24,120 and close of ₹24,310, on the Standard method.

What to enter

Previous high
₹24,380
Previous low
₹24,120
Previous close
₹24,310

What it shows you

Pivot (P)
₹24,270
R1 / S1
₹24,420 / ₹24,160
CPR width
Narrow (~0.16%)
Prior for the day
Trending day more likely
Bias while above pivot
Long towards R1, then R2
