Glossary

Every term is defined twice: once the way a filing would put it, and once the way somebody would explain it to you across a table. The second one is usually the one that sticks.

Fundamental analysis
Also called: Comparable set

The set of companies against which another is compared for valuation purposes.

In plain terms

Choose it before you look at the multiples, or you will unconsciously pick the ones that make your stock look cheap.
