Glossary

Every term is defined twice: once the way a filing would put it, and once the way somebody would explain it to you across a table. The second one is usually the one that sticks.

Raw material pass-through

Fundamental analysis
Also called: Pass-through

Passing changes in input costs on to customers through the selling price, often with a lag.

In plain terms

The lag is why margins dip when feedstock rises and briefly widen when it falls.
